The property is very aesthetically done and Revathi ( Owner) said it’s her brainchild so kudos to her..the entire place is well thought out and visually appealing. Service is very good and the food served is freshly prepared and suits even the children as it isn’t very spicy or oily.
Hot water available throughout and the rooms are clean and nicely maintained.
The place is not far off from tourist attractions in Coorg so can conveniently plan for day outings.

The gates of this homestay open up to a quaint cosy 60 year old Kodava home tastefully decorated and extremely well maintained with all the amenities one would need. If your plan to visit this homestay is to relax, then you are in the right place. In spite of its location on the main road, this place guarantees you fresh air, greenery and peace. To make your stay memorable, there’s a lovely caretaker Ashwini who’ll help you out with whatever you want in a fully functional home. And the best part of it all is that there’s no one to disturb your calm. There are a lot of restaurants in and around this homestay that would deliver food to your doorstep. You needn’t even leave your courtyard. This place is so spick and span that we made sure that we do not the dirty the place. Preeth and Prem, the hosts are wonderful. They not only give you your space and freedom without any restrictions but also take care of your comfort and requirements. All the more reason to return their house to them in mint condition. This is definitely a perfect getaway… A getaway from the clicks of your mouse, rings of your phone, noise, pollution, traffic and every other thing that you wanna avoid.

We will be back sooner than you think! And Preeth… Thank you for that outstanding breakfast!

The most warm and beautiful home stay in Coorg.. School Thota is the kind of place you will definitely go back to again and again… It’s true to the definition of a homestay. The owners stay there, interact with you, let you in their world, have the meals with you and even cook for you. Yes, the kitchen is Saraswati Aunty’s work of love for coorgi food and traditions. The food has to be the biggest highlight of this place… Traditional Coorgi food with recipes shared so generously..

Both Kushalappa and Aunty are well traveled, know coorg like no one else and their recommendations for everything that we did in Coorg were beyond excellent. The home has a vintage feel, from its linen to what’s on the walls. Each artifact tells you a story. It can also be best described as the house of a person who has traveled the globe. It’s nestled in the greens of Coorg and has several picnic spots around to explore. within the estate you will find many a spots where you can find peace and calm. strong wifi connection, cycles, dogs to play with and fishing gear are added perks.

This is like a holiday home you would want to go to every time you got a chance. And the drive from Bangalore to school thota is the most picturesque… I am definitely going back soon..
